This workshop is part of our digital workshops, alongside our Design Thinking workshop and our Digital Transformation workshop. Every single one of our workshops is designed to help you turn your ideas into reality, with the knowledge and support of a professional team of experts in their field, from UI/UX design to software development, and beyond. Our workshops are available online or in-person at one of our office locations in Rotterdam or Kuala Lumpur. The workshops can be followed as part of a whole or individually, and are designed to allow clients to take the results of these workshops and continue their entrepreneurial journey with it however they choose.
What do I learn at a Digital Solution Strategy workshop?
Our Digital Solution Strategy workshops are specifically designed to walk the practical road towards the realization of a previously conceptualized idea. In our Design Thinking workshop, you’re introduced to the market, your most important target audience, the problem(s) they face, and a potential solution for that problem. Our Digital Transformation workshop takes it a step further by helping you find out how you can transform your existing business processes into a digitalized, automated, and optimized version. Once we’ve identified your target audience, their problems, a potential solution, and created an insight into your business processes, we turn it up a notch with our Digital Solution Strategy workshop.
In this workshop, we help you and your team identify relevant technical elements of your digital Solution and the KPIs that matter most. Together, we create a success-driven product roadmap and define a step-by-step planning towards the actual realization of your idea, based on a phased approach. What does a Digital Solution Strategy workshop look like?
Our Digital Solution Strategy workshops are built upon a total of 4 sessions, spread out over 8 weeks. Just like our Design Thinking and Digital Transformation workshops, our Digital Solution Strategy workshops start with a session where we dive into the target audience of your business and solution. Only by creating a deep understanding of who you’re creating a solution for, can you achieve a solution that’s perfectly aligned with the problems they face and their behaviour within the solution. In case you and your team are following the Digital Solution Strategy workshop in succession to one of our other workshops, you’ve already created an insight into your target audience.
Session 1: Target Group Understanding
The first session introduces you and your team to the industry your organization is active in, as well as a comprehensive user analysis and a deep dive into your target audience by means of creating user personas and performing user analyses. If you’ve already taken part in our Design Thinking or Digital Transformation workshop, you should have a pretty clear understanding of your target audience and the problems they face within your industry. If you haven’t, we take the opportunity of our first session together to dive into your target audience and visualize user journeys.

Session 2: Product backlog brainstorming
The second session of the Digital Solution Strategy workshop focuses on your solution/product, its specifications, goals, and the road towards success. Once we’ve managed to create a clear insight into your target audience and the problems they face, we can dive into the product roadmap and the identification of themes and epics. What does that mean? A product roadmap, especially as used in an agile working environment, is a concrete plan of action that outlines the vision, direction, priorities, and progress of a product over time. It aligns the organization of a project within a team, and defines short- and long-term goals for the project and the path to get there.
Usually, a product roadmap consists of themes and epics. Themes consist of large focus areas regarding the product and are used to track high-level organizational goals. Epics are larger tasks that are subdivided into smaller tasks or so-called “stories”. Stories, also called “user stories” are small tasks or requirements written from the perspective of a user when interacting with a product. They describe the needs and behaviours of a customer when using an application and showcase what functionalities within the product are of higher priority.

Session 3: Product journey & prototyping
Session three will take you and your team on a more practical journey towards the realization of your product. After setting your user objectives, it is crucial to formulate a journey that fits your users in order to achieve an optimized customer experience. This will help you differentiate from your competitors and get users “hooked” on your solution.
Activities during the third session include:
- Visualize core user flows
- Prototype chosen flows in the form of wireframes
- Define main user goals
- Design core flow steps in the form of a clickable demo
Session 4: Performance & strategy
In order to implement a successful solution, you need to understand how to efficiently track and strategize growth. We do this by defining the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of your product, and teach you how to continuously track these indicators and adapt your strategies accordingly by making data-driven decisions. Along with your phased growth approach, this will define your final strategy, which will be able to adapt and scale to any changes that will take place on the market and in your product.

- Finalize a solid go-to-market strategy
- Identify fundamental product metrics in the form of KPIs
- Set milestones and commercial targets
- Create digital development planning

A clickable demo
A clickable demo is a high-fidelity design of your digital solution. Rather than only providing visual elements, a clickable demo allows users to interact with the application without having to put too much time and effort into developing the app. In other words, a clickable demo is an interactive mockup. Users can click on buttons that allow them to navigate through the app, without developers having to write one line of code. A clickable demo is a valuable way to, for example, introduce your app idea to potential investors or test out the most important functionalities among your target audience. After your target audience and digital solution are defined, we can dive deeper into the product by visualizing a user journey, which will become the basis for the design of the clickable demo.
An investor pitch deck
A pitch deck is a short presentation made to provide your audience and potential investors with a summarized overview of your business plan and digital product. In case your solution needs to be pitched to potential investors or higher management, we can create a fitting presentation that’s combined of your own knowledge of the industry and our experience with everything digital.
An incredibly valuable asset to have is the feedback from your target audience. With that feedback, you can incorporate and implement improvements and increase the overall performance and success of the identified solution. By letting end-users iteratively test out the basic functionalities of the product, you can already get a detailed insight into the effectiveness of your solution and steer towards an even better version before launching the actual product.
An iteration workshop
One of the additional options in our Digital Solution Strategy workshop is the iteration workshops. Based on the outcomes of the initial workshop and user validation, an additional iteration workshop can be implemented and planned to dive deeper into the user experience in order to optimize the solution even further.

Our cross-functional UI/UX specialist takes a supporting role in the process of identifying the target audience by creating customer personas, guiding the problem definition process, and visualizing the user journey.
The full-stack development team provides insights into technical opportunities and potential technological solutions. They know exactly what types of technology can be implemented in specific processes to achieve an optimal result.
The Project Manager makes sure that the meetings and sessions are planned and organized in a streamlined manner. They monitor the timeline and scope of the workshop and report and update on the overall progress.
