MoRPH BC - Enhancing Crop Measurement Efficiency
Crop Measurement Research Efficiency App Design Wageningen University Lizard Global Agriculture Technology EU Standardization
The client
Wageningen University & Research (WUR), a prestigious Dutch institution located in the Netherlands, is globally recognized for its expertise in agricultural, food, and environmental sciences. They embarked on a mission to standardize crop measurement procedures that could be adopted across the EU. To achieve this, they developed MoRPH App, an internal research tool aimed at streamlining and optimizing the crop analysis process. This initiative was critical for ensuring accurate, consistent, and efficient data collection in agricultural research
The challenge
The primary challenge was to design an app that made the process of scanning crops seamless, intuitive, and highly efficient. With researchers tasked with scanning up to 100,000 crops daily, the app needed to drastically reduce the time and effort involved while maintaining precision and ease of use.
Our solution
To overcome these challenges, several solutions were implemented to enhance the MoRPH App’s functionality and usability. The navigation was redesigned to improve user flow, making it more intuitive and enabling users to complete tasks effortlessly. The interface was upgraded with larger buttons, clear visuals, and streamlined layouts to ensure ease of use and accessibility. Additionally, new functionalities were integrated, such as options to create trials, scan samples, and analyze results, simplifying the overall process. The workflow was also optimized and redefined into logical steps, including selecting trials, scanning samples, and generating results, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for users.
