Project Background

MRT Malaysia is a government-owned entity under the Ministry of Finance responsible for overseeing major rail infrastructure projects, including the MRT Kajang, Putrajaya, and Circle Lines. With over 300 employees nationwide, they focus on delivering sustainable and reliable public transport infrastructure.

Challenges

MRT's previous intranet system was outdated and failed to meet the needs of a nationwide workforce, offering irrelevant content and only one-way communication. Employees were siloed within separate Google Chat spaces, leading to a lack of collaboration and disconnection between headquarters and onsite teams. Furthermore, poor search functionality and limited mobile accessibility made it difficult for employees on the go to find critical information.
